Port-au-Prince, December 9, 2025.- During a speech on Magik9, this Tuesday, December 9, former Senator Jean Renel Sénatus accused some opposition actors of seeking the support of armed groups in mobilization movements, particularly during the episodes of the « Kot Kòb PetroCaribe a ». He also presented the operation. « 3×7 » launched by the Initiative of 24 April, while criticising the artisans of the Transitional Presidential Council (TPC), whom he accuses of wanting to prolong their influence beyond 7 February 2026.
On the microphone of Magik9, the former Senator Jean Renel Sénatus came back to what he described as "d"« political instrumentalization of gangs » by various actors. He claims that « political opposition actors openly sought support from armed individuals » during periods of social mobilization. He refers in particular to the events of 2017 and 2018, where protesters reportedly sought the support of Arnel Joseph, considered one of the country's best known gang leaders. According to him, this approach came from officials involved in the movement. « Kot Kòb PetroCaribe a ».
During the show Panel Magik, Me Sénatus also explained the foundations of the operation. « 3×7 » launched on 7 December by the Initiative of 24 April. This initiative sets out three key dates: on 7 December, 7 January and 7 February, the latter corresponding to the perspective of governance which it describes as « neutral, safe, citizen and patriotic ».
The former parliamentarian also denounced what he presented as the ambitions of some members of the Transitional Presidential Council, who he said would seek to impose their own political agenda in the run-up to 7 February 2026. It considers that these officials « can't make up opponents against a power they themselves gave birth to ».
While calling for a moralization of political life, Sénatus advocates for a new transition led by a judge of the Court of Cassation and announces that new strategies will be deployed to achieve a takeover by a broad consensus.
