Florida, July 10, 2026.- Palm Beach International Airport now officially bears the name of « President Donald J. Trump International Airport », after a law passed in Florida came into force. This decision, which puts Donald Trump's name on a public infrastructure of his adopted state, provokes strong reactions in the United States.
Close to his residence in Mar-a-Lago, the airport is frequently used by the American president. His son Eric Trump praised this tribute, believing Donald Trump was the personality « the most deserving » to receive this recognition.
But this initiative also feeds critics. Opponents denounce a form of excessive personalization of public institutions, recalling that Donald Trump becomes the first American president to see an airport bearing his name while still in office.
