Pétion-Ville, December 9, 2025.- On Friday, December 5, the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) participated in the 2nd Sectoral Round Table organized at the Kinam Hotel, alongside the National Migration Office (ONM), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour (MAST), to validate the Migration Management Protocol and strengthen the support of repatriated Haitians.

During this round table, the institutions present reviewed the existing arrangements to receive, identify and accompany Haitian nationals repatriated. The discussions highlighted the importance of close coordination between the actors involved in order to optimise interventions and avoid duplication in the care of citizens.

In this context, the FAES reiterated its central role with vulnerable populations and its commitment to work with its institutional partners. Emphasis was placed on improving accompanying procedures and putting in place concrete measures to ensure coherent and humane migration management adapted to current needs.

The 2nd Sectoral Round Table strengthened cooperation between FAES, ONM, HNP and MAST. The measures discussed at the meeting should contribute to a more structured and effective reception of returning Haitians, while strengthening long-term inter-institutional coordination.
