Tabarre, August 13, 2025.- Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé made an official presentation this Wednesday of the Inspector General in Chief (IGC) to Frédéric Leconte, former Director of the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ). He promised to work to build a professional and efficient police force.

Acting on instructions from the President of the Presidential Council of Transition (CPT), Laurent Saint-Cyr, the Head of the Supreme Council of the National Police (CSPN), Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, reaffirmed the Executive's commitment to fully support the National Police in its mission of protecting the population and combating insecurity.

For his part, the new Inspector General in Chief, Frédéric Leconte, has committed himself to working closely with the Director General a.i., André Jonas Vladimir Paraison, to strengthen a professional police, effective and committed to republican values.

It should be noted that since the arrival of the new Police DG a.i., several changes have been made in the High Command of the HNP. Could these reforms, presented as strategic, finally bring concrete solutions?

However, the police continue to record human and material casualties. This morning, two policemen were killed in an ambush by bandits in Kenscoff. The criminals exposed the mutilated bodies of the officers of the Brigade of Operation and Departmental Intervention (BOID), as well as several firearms and police equipment.

However, the Government reaffirms its determination to deploy all necessary means to restore peace, stability and confidence in the republican institutions and to adopt a policy of zero tolerance against armed bandits.
