Pétion-ville, August 13, 2025.- The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) and the National Radio Television of Haiti (RTNH) signed, this Wednesday, a Memorandum of Understanding concerning the rental by the CEP of a channel on the multiplex of the RTNH. This channel, dedicated exclusively to electoral activities, will enable the institution to ensure continuous communication on the referendum and electoral process in the country.
This agreement comes in a context in which the Executive issued the referendum decree on 3 July 2025, marking a major step towards the organisation of the constitutional referendum and general elections. Pending the dissemination of the draft Constitution on this channel, the CEP is continuing its technical work in order to guarantee the forthcoming holding of these elections.
According to CEP Executive Director Phillipe Jean Roger Augustin, this partnership was concluded « in maximum transparency » and is part of the institution's communication strategy, which aims to inform the public regularly of the steps taken and the actions taken.
For its part, Sandra Duvivier, chairman of the technical commission for restructuring of the RTNH, said that the CEP will use its own equipment for the dissemination of its activities, while the RTNH will provide technical support via its multiplexer.
This collaboration aims to increase the visibility and transparency of the electoral process, while facilitating public access to official information.
