ENAF is relaunching its activities and forming a new generation of public finance technicians

Port-au-Prince, October 28, 2025.- After several months of interruption, the National School of Financial Administration (ENAF) reopened its doors, marking the integration of 44 new trainees from the 13th promotion. This recovery symbolizes the desire of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) to strengthen skills in public financial management and to consolidate state administration.

The National School of Financial Administration (ENAF) officially resumed its activities at a ceremony held on Monday 27 October in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alfred Fils Métellus, President of the Board of Directors of the institution.

In his speech, Minister Metellus greeted the Congregation of the Brothers of Christian Instruction (FIC), represented by Reverend Brother Edwing Zamy, director of the Saint Joseph School in Petion City, for offering a space for the temporary operation of the school. He also urged trainees to demonstrate discipline and commitment, recalling that ENAF is an essential incubator for Haitian public administration.

The Minister shared a personal testimony of his move to ENAF, noting that success in the public sector depends on the rigour, competence and sense of service.

The Vice-President of ENAF, Jean Bouco Jean-Jacques, also Director General of MEF, and several senior officials of the Ministry attended the opening ceremony, marking the institutional support for this recovery.

The 44 trainees in the 13th Promotion will receive long-term training in public finances. The first year will be devoted to five basic courses: Treasury, Taxes, Customs, Economy, Audit and Accounting, before a second year of specialization in one of these disciplines.

The re-opening of ENAF reflects the government's desire to train a new generation of skilled technicians, capable of modernising the financial management of the state and promoting more transparent and effective governance.
