Port-au-Prince, July 15, 2026.- The Fund of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti for Research and Development (FRD-BRH) extended the period of submission of scientific research projects for its 4th cohort of financing. The researchers, institutions and consortia concerned now have until 30 September 2026 to file their files in several priority sectors, including artificial intelligence, fintech, financial inclusion, MSMEs, public security, traditional medicine and strategic sectors of the Haitian economy.
The FRD-BRH provides additional time for project sponsors wishing to participate in its fourth cohort of funding dedicated to scientific research and innovation.
Applicants are invited to prepare a complete package including a five-page presentation of the research project. This document shall specify in particular the title of the project, the sector concerned, the category of the tenderer, the place of execution, the total cost, the financing sought and the expected duration.
Each project must also designate a project manager to coordinate activities and serve as the lead contact with FRD-BRH. The personal and professional information of this official must be included in the file.
The research proposal must present a summary of the project, its rationale, the methodology used, the objectives and the limits identified. Applicants must also provide a schedule of implementation, a detailed budget and the qualifications of the members of the research team accompanied by the curriculum vitae.
Through this call, the FRD-BRH intends to support initiatives capable of contributing to the scientific, technological and economic development of Haiti. The targeted areas reflect current priorities related to innovation, digital transformation and the strengthening of productive sectors.
