Port-au-Prince, 21 November 2025. The French Embassy in Haiti launched this Friday the Fonds Team France – Civil Society (FEF-OSC) program for the period 2025-2026. With funding of €800,000, the mechanism aims to strengthen local initiatives for gender equality and women's rights.

A total of 246 projects were submitted and 28 organizations were selected as a result of the selection process. The initiatives supported cover nine departments in the country and cover two priority areas:
– promoting women's rights,
– economic empowerment, especially in response to the impacts of climate change.

The Ambassador of France to Haiti stressed that this programme reflects a strong political orientation: « France firmly believes that a strong civil society is essential for sustainable development. This programme goes beyond simple funding: it is a partnership for Haitians, especially women, who are key actors in social progress. »

In addition to financial support, the selected organisations will benefit from technical support from GRET (Research and Technological Exchange Group) in order to strengthen their skills and ensure the sustainability of the actions carried out.
