Port-au-Prince, July 4, 2025.-The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Dr. Patrick Pélissier, announced, in a circular, the transfer of Mr. Pierre Elioth Paul, Commissioner of the Government a.i. to the Court of First Instance of Les Cayes, to the Prosecutor of Cap-Haitien.
According to the circular, dated 4 July 2025, Mr. Paul is assigned as the Deputy of the Government Commissioner to the ICT of Cap-Haitien. No reason was specified for this change, but the Minister indicated that the transfer will take effect from the oath of the magistrate.
It is important to note that Pierre Eliot Paul had already held similar positions in Petit-Goâve before being appointed to Les Cayes. This new transfer, according to several observers, should not be seen as a sanction or a disqualification.
