Camp-Perrin, November 22, 2025.- The General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) launched on Friday 21 November at the Hotel Le Back in Camp-Perrin, its great tour in the Great South. This initiative, already carried out in the North and Port-au-Prince, aims to bring people closer to public oversight mechanisms, promote administrative transparency and strengthen the fight against corruption. Throughout the week, the IGF will host civic and university conferences in Jacmel, Camp-Perrin and Les Cayes, in the presence of its top leaders.

Faced with an audience of journalists, teachers, local executives, police officers, lawyers and representatives of civil society, the IGF presented the central objective of its tour: to popularize public oversight and raise awareness of administrative transparency. The institution wishes to point out that the fight against corruption requires first an understanding of governance mechanisms.

The Directorate General mobilized in the Great South

The press conference brought together IGF senior management:

Ms Goethie Varnelle Morency, Inspector General of Exceptional Class and Director General

Mr. Dendy Desnoyers, Inspector General

Mr. Jean Amax Antoine, Inspector General

Their presence demonstrates the institutional will to engage in direct dialogue with citizens, even in the absence of decentralized offices in the province.

A rich and structured calendar

IGF unveiled a dense program, spread over four major days of exchanges:

24 November (Jacmel): Panel discussion at Hotel Le Manoir Adriana

25 November (Jacmel ) : University conference at the Convention Centre

27 November (Camp-Perrin / Cayes): Conference-debate at the Hotel Le Back

28 November (Cayes): University Lecture at the Hotel La Cretonne

These activities are part of a civic pedagogy mission aimed at democratizing the concepts of control, audit and good public management.

The Camp-Perrin conference brought together a variety of actors: school leaders, professionals, young people, local organisations, the media and representatives of public institutions. This enthusiasm illustrates the growing interest of the Great South in governance issues, and the importance of creating spaces for dialogue between citizens and institutions.

A carefully prepared logistics device

Ms. Annaira Cantave, Principal Inspector, presented the logistical arrangements adopted to ensure public participation:

setting up of buses for pupils and students;

communication and guidance devices.

She stressed the importance of this organization in ensuring balanced and inclusive representation.
