Port-au-Prince, 12 August 2025.- A delegation from the State University of Haiti (UEH), led by the Rector Dieuseul Predelus, carried out an exploration mission in the departments of South-East, South, Nippes and Great Anse from August 5 to 8. Objective: to identify a suitable site for the creation of a university campus in the Great South.
Accompanied by its Chief of Staff, Bildadson Cadelus, the Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs, Prédner Duvivier, the Coordinator of Provincial Entities, Milien Midas, and the former Dean of the Faculty of Applied Linguistics (FLA), Renauld Govain, the Rector met with several local actors to assess the region's potential.
According to the Rectorat, this future campus would be a strategic lever for local socio-economic development, offering young people from the Great South quality training adapted to regional realities and stimulating innovation and job creation.
The project is seen as a major step forward in strengthening its presence throughout the country and providing better opportunities for students without having to leave their region.
