Montreal, September 10, 2025.- On August 24, Quisqueya University, through the Office for Institutional Development (ODI), accompanied the official launch of the first UniQ Alumni chapter in Montreal, Canada. The event was attended by two of the seven founders of the institution, Professors Jacques-Édouard Alexis and Paul Saint-Hilaire, as well as several members of the former graduate community.
Among the alumni present were Stéphane Martelly, Kenchina Lajoie, Viviane Julien, Patrick Saint-Hilaire, Sylio Louis-Jean, Hervé St-Hilaire, David Charlier and Mayerling Betshaida Edmond. The University was also represented by Karl-Philippe Alexis and Alex Georges. The project was presented to an audience of ex-enthusiastic and committed, according to an official note.
UniQ Alumni is the association of the alumni of Quisqueya University. It aims to maintain ties between graduates and to foster the spirit of UniQ around values such as collaboration, diversity, respect, responsibility, loyalty and innovation.
The Association of Alumni of Quisqueya University has the task of:
– Promote the image and visibility of UniQ through the active involvement of its graduates;
– Support the professional integration of students through a network of internships, job offers and mentoring between former and current students;
– Financially support university strategic projects through donations and fundraising campaigns.
The official launch of this association represents a major step forward in strengthening the UniQ network on an international scale.
