A joy of short duration

« At midnight, the carriage turned into a pumpkin, the dog coach, the horses into mice, and the princess became Cinderella again... »

Too good to be true, some will say. As if we were always trying to erase the joy of our faces. The attacks were on all sides to minimize our efforts and even our prowess since independence of 1804. For the second time in 2025, Haiti, through its national football selection, has just invited an entire nation to the royal court for the grand ball of suitors. Our presence already bothers, it arouses jealousy, even though we have not taken the place of anyone. It won't be a masked ball: everyone will be on the open face, with the same chances.

Why the sudden hardening?

The question remains: why, when the daughters and sons of this nation unite, do others tremble in fear? There is a deep reason, a secret buried; it is up to us to discover it in serenity, in the spirit of the tet ansanm.
We do not wish for ephemeral joy or a return to lamentation. We want lasting joy, which goes through time, a joy passed on to future generations.

We won our shoulder pads on the battlefield. We are combatants; We are a nation, not a clan. Our destiny is unique, universal, extratemporal. And as our destiny, our joy cannot be short-lived, it will not stop at the twelve strokes of midnight, like that of Cinderella.
