Washington, August 21, 2025.- The Trump administration continues its strict migration policy. On Thursday, it announced that more than 55 million valid US visa holders will be thoroughly examined to detect any violation that could result in revocation of a visa or expulsion.
The U.S. State Department has confirmed that all visa holders, including tourists, are subject to continuous monitoring to identify any situation of ineligibility to enter or stay in the United States. This measure is part of a context of increased repression against foreigners legally present on US soil.
The Department states that if information deemed false or problematic is detected, the visa concerned will be revoked immediately. If the person concerned is already in the United States, they may be subject to deportation proceedings.
Finally, the State Department recognizes that this verification process is broader and more frequent than previously thought, and that it could result in sudden cancellations of visas, even for persons already authorized to stay in the country.
