Port-au-Prince, September 10, 2025.- The President of the Presidential Council of Transition (CPT), Laurent Saint-Cyr, and the Prime Minister, Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, held a working session with the main ministries and institutions concerned with the school year.
Representatives of MENFP, MAST, MTPTC, MJSAC, NEF, NCP and FAES participated in the meeting. Together, they assessed the urgent actions needed to ensure that courses were resumed in good conditions.
Measures adopted include:
– Support for displaced families to free occupied schools;
– Rehabilitation of damaged school infrastructure;
– The effective organisation of the school canteen from the beginning of the academic year.
The CPT and the Government reaffirm their commitment to secure the territory and ensure access to education for all Haitian children, especially the most vulnerable, considering school as an essential pillar for rebuilding the country.
