Milena Sandler from PAPJAZZ•©️The Newlist
The 19th edition of the PAPJAZZ promises to be rich and ambitious. Invited this Friday 26 December 2025 on Radio Magik 9, Milena Sandler presented a festival resolutely focused on international, local creation and cultural transmission, with varied programming, unprecedented artistic activities and enhanced global diffusion.
PAPJAZZ confirms its international reach with artists from Spain, Mexico, the United States and the Haitian diaspora. Among the stars are the Spanish pianist Chano Domínguez, named at the Grammy Awards, and Mexican guitarist Daniel Torres, alongside Haitian and Caribbean musicians, illustrating the dialogue between cultures and generations.
The program showcases the Créole Jazz, local artists and emerging talent, through showcases and a competition to honour Dadou Pasquet. This approach aims to encourage the transfer of knowledge between young musicians and experienced artists, a founding principle of the PAPJAZZ.
The major scenes will be installed at the Caribe Hotel, with concerts and afters in several cultural venues in the capital. The festival also offers slam workshops, collective resilience and a participatory fresco dedicated to peace, inviting artists and the public to speak together beyond music.
Global dissemination and public accessibility
Through the livestream, the concerts will be broadcast in Haiti and abroad, notably in France, the United States and Canada, with an unprecedented partnership with Radio TSF Jazz. PAPJAZZ is committed to young people's access and offers discounted rates and many free activities, affirming its vocation as an inclusive and group festival.
