A delegation from the Les Engées pour le Développement Party (EDE), led by Dr Claude Joseph, President of the Strategic Council, took part in the 10th edition of the Global Youth Leadership Forum, held in Santander, Spain, from 12 to 17 October 2025. On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Institute of Political Studies and Formation (INEFPO), the party's scientific body, and the Global Youth Leadership Forum (GYLF), with a view to strengthening political formation, international exchanges and promoting democracy.
Composée notamment de Ritshy Derilus, coordonnateur national du Mouvman Jenès EDE, de Géraldine Lucea, coordonnatrice nationale du Mouvman Fanm EDE, et de l’ancien ministre de la Défense, Berthier Antoine, la délégation a pris une part active aux travaux du forum, organisé cette année autour du thème : « Déglobalisation et diplomatie corporative : le nouvel ordre mondial « .
During the session on Monday, October 13, Dr Claude Joseph spoke as keynote speaker on the topic of international cooperation in times of crisis, sharing his diplomatic experience at the head of the Haitian government during the VOCID-19 pandemic. He highlighted the virtues of international solidarity, institutional agility and multilateral dialogue in addressing global emergencies. His intervention aroused great interest among young leaders, policymakers and international experts present.
Dans une déclaration publiée sur ses réseaux sociaux, le Dr Joseph a qualifié cette expérience d’« enrichissante et inspirante « , soulignant que la participation d’EDE à ce rendez-vous mondial témoigne de sa volonté de positionner Haïti dans le débat global sur la gouvernance démocratique et la coopération internationale. Par cette initiative, le parti réaffirme sa vision d’une jeunesse engagée, formée et ouverte sur le monde au service du développement durable du pays.
