The Ministry for the Status of Women and Women's Rights (MCFDF) took another step in consolidating its territorial structures. On Monday 9 February, Ms Neslie François MOROSE was officially installed as Assistant Director at the Departmental Directorate of the Grand-Anse, during a ceremony chaired by the Departmental Director, Ms Marie Kerling Gaspard SAINT JUSTE.
The event brought together several civil and judicial authorities, including Departmental Delegate Paulémond MICHEL and the Government Commissioner Me Jean Marie Gaetjeans ALEXANDRE, as well as representatives of local women's organizations. Speakers welcomed a strategic appointment to improve State action to promote women's rights and combat gender-based violence.
According to MCFDF officials, this designation responds to the desire to make the departmental directorates more efficient and closer to the citizens. The new Assistant Director will be responsible for strengthening gender mainstreaming in local public policies, supporting coordination with community actors and contributing to better care for survivors of violence.
Through this installation, the MCFDF reaffirms its commitment to structure an institutional response of proximity in the Greater Anse. The authorities hope that this dynamic will improve the support of women and girls in the department and strengthen the role of the Ministry as a key player in equality and the protection of human rights.
