Arcahaie, September 15, 2025.- After nine days of blocking at Bercy, National #1 was reopened on Monday, September 15. The Town Hall of Arcahaie welcomed the joint action of the National Police of Haiti, the self-defence brigadier and the citizens, who helped restore order and free movement in the city.
National #1, strategic axis linking Port-au-Prince to the north of Haiti, had been paralyzed for more than a week. The Town Hall announced that the blockade was lifted thanks to the collective commitment of the security forces and the inhabitants, who prevented the aggressors from taking control of the « City of Bicolor ».
Mayor René Wilner expressed his gratitude to all the actors involved and urged the inhabitants to keep informed via official sources, so as not to give in to rumours or misinformation.
The municipality reaffirmed its willingness to continue the joint work with the population to maintain the peace, security and dignity of all the Archaians.
