FIFA renews FHF Standards Committee until 30 November 2026

Port-au-Prince, December 2, 2025.- In a press release published on Monday, December 1, 2025, the Committee for Standardization of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), set up by the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA), announces the extension of its mandate in order to continue the efforts undertaken to stabilize, modernize and reform the governance of Haitian football. The committee is chaired by Monique André.

« FIFA has decided to extend the mandate of the Standardization Committee until 30 November 2026 », stressed the press release, after noting the performance achieved, both in sport and administrative terms, despite a national context marked by instability.

Among the notable advances:
• progress in the process of revising the statutes and federal regulations;
• the establishment and extension of the club licensing system, ensuring transparency, professionalisation and high standards of management;
• sports performances, including Haiti's historic qualification at the Women's World Cup in 2023 and the next qualification of the men's selection in North America in 2026, fifty-two years after the first Haitian participation in this great competition.

By extending the mandate of the Committee of Standardization until 2026, FIFA reaffirms its commitment to support Haitian football on the path of stability in the long term, in the hope that institutional and sporting progress will finally translate into a sustainable and autonomous governance.
