Port-au-Prince, 11 November 2025 — Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé chaired, this Tuesday, November 11 at the Primature, a strategic meeting aimed at accelerating the electoral process in Haiti and strengthening coordination between national institutions and international partners to ensure free, inclusive and sovereign elections.
Around the Head of Government, discussions were held with several ministers, members of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), representatives of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd The discussions focused on the security, logistical and technical aspects necessary to conduct the elections.
The Prime Minister stressed the need for close, transparent and continuous coordination between national institutions and their partners, recalling that the Haitian State must remain the guarantor of the sovereignty of the electoral process. According to the Government, the State has contributed $70 million to electoral financing since 2021, and the proposed budget 2025-2026 provides for more than 3 billion gourdes to support political parties.
The Government announced the launch of a capacity-building programme for political parties and reported that 225 parties had been regularized with the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP). The CEP issued a draft electoral decree; the official publication of the decree and the electoral calendar is announced by the end of November, a decisive step in setting the deadlines for the election.
The Prime Minister praised the spirit of collaboration demonstrated at the meeting and called for citizen mobilization to ensure credible and peaceful elections. He said: « The success of these elections will depend on the commitment of all Haitian institutions and people ».
