São Paulo, November 14, 2025.- Sao Paulo, Salvador and Florianópolis, these three cities will add to the list of new Haitian consulates as part of the policy of strengthening consular services by the Haitian government. The upcoming opening of these three new Consulates General in Brazil, aims to meet the growing needs of the Haitian community in this host country.
A delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs (MAEC) recently met on Tuesday, November 12, 2025 several representatives of the Haitian diaspora in Brazil, according to a note from the MAEC, published on Facebook.
These meetings represent an ongoing and objective dialogue effort to identify the community's major concerns regarding documentation, administrative assistance and citizen inclusion.
Reverend Father Paolo Parise, head of the Peace Mission, with more than 38,000 Haitian migrants in Brazil, is among the actors consulted, along with other community and religious leaders, among them those of the League of Haitian Pastors of São Paulo (LIPAHSP) and the Union of Haitians of São Paulo (USIH).
This approach, which is part of a broader government vision, aims to enhance the role of the diaspora in the country's development.
