The Haitian government has decided to restore the regular holding of ministerial councils at the National Palace, the Champ de Mars, announced the Secretary of State for Communication, Bendgy Tilias, on Tuesday 14 October 2025. This measure, initiated at the 9 October Council, aims to reaffirm the state presence in the heart of the capital and to reinvest the city centre, deserted for months because of insecurity.
According to Mr.Tilias, this decision marks a step in the Haitian State's strategy of regaining territory. Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé sees it as a strong signal of recovery, saying that « State regains control of its capital ». A video broadcast by the Primature shows timid signs of resumed activities around the Champ de Mars.

At the political level, the relocation of the Government to the National Palace marks a turning point towards the resumption of the electoral process. According to Bendgy Tilias, the government and the Transitional Presidential Council are intensifying their efforts in this direction. During his visit to the CEP on 14 October, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the full support of the executive for the electoral institution, while urging the speedy adoption of an electoral decree and a clear timetable to ensure credible elections.
