Port-au-Prince, March 12, 2026.- The Minister of National Education, Vijonet Déméro, met, this Thursday, March 12, with the rectors of the Departmental Public Universities as well as a delegation from the State University of Haiti (UEH) to discuss new ways of integrating graduates of the École Normale Supérieure and the Faculty of Education Sciences of UPD into the public education system.

The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) is continuing its efforts to strengthen the presence of qualified teachers in public schools. In this perspective, Minister Vijonet Déméro met, this Thursday, March 12, with the rectors of the Departmental Public Universities and a delegation of the State University of Haiti.

The discussions focused on the establishment of new modalities of collaboration to facilitate the professional integration of graduates of the École Normale Supérieure and those from the Faculty of Education of the UDP within the national education system.

According to the Minister, this reflection should lead to a new Memorandum of Understanding between the institutions concerned. This framework for cooperation should, on the one hand, safeguard the interests of public schools and, on the other hand, promote the professional development of teachers trained in these university institutions.

This initiative is part of the MENFP's desire to strengthen the quality of public education by valuing the skills of graduates specializing in pedagogical training.
