Pétion-Ville, September 6, 2025.- The Board of Directors of the School of Magistrates (EMA) informed the candidates for the competitive examination of judges that the first phase of the tests will be held on 11 and 12 September 2025, from 8 a.m. on the premises of the institution in Brothers.
According to the official notice, the examinations will begin on Thursday, September 11, 2025 with a three-hour legal dissertation. The next day, Friday, September 12, 2025, candidates will compose in civil law and civil procedure then in criminal law and criminal procedure for two hours.
This is a key phase of the competition launched on 24 July 2025 by the Ministry of Justice and Public Safety. It aims to assess the fundamental knowledge of applicants in the main branches of the law, with a view to ensuring the selection of competent judges capable of strengthening the Haitian judicial system.
With this announcement, the EMA has reaffirmed its central role in the training and recruitment of future judges, and invites candidates to prepare rigorously for these crucial tests.
