Saint Kitts and Nevis, 25 February 2026.- On the sidelines of the 50th CARICOM Conference of Heads of State and Government, the Prime Minister of Haiti, Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, has linked several high-level bilateral meetings, including US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Prime Minister of Jamaica, and CARICOM Secretary General Carla Barnett.

At the heart of the exchanges: security, institutional stabilization and the organization of credible elections in Haiti. The Head of Government presented the steps taken to restore State authority and combat armed groups, while calling for increased support from international partners.

The Pact to reshape national stability and ensure credible elections was widely discussed. The Prime Minister's interlocutors welcomed this initiative as a major political step forward and a signal for a consensual democratic transition.

Discussions also focused on strengthening the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd) and the National Police of Haiti (PNH), as well as the technical, logistical and financial support needed to deploy the Gangs Repression Force (GRF).

In addition, economic recovery, particularly through the development hubs of the Greater North and the Greater South, as well as the strengthening of regional integration were also discussed.

These meetings reflect the will of the Haitian government to consolidate its strategic partnerships and mobilize regional and international support for the sustainable return to security, institutional stability and democratic order.
