Cap-Haitien, May 4, 2026.- On a trip to Cap-Haitien on April 29, 2026, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Serge Gabriel Collin, assessed the progress of projects financed notably by the Inter-American Development Bank. This mission is part of the follow-up to the priorities set by Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé.

Accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Serge Gabriel Collin conducted a strategic visit to the North to oversee a number of structural projects under way.

At Caracol Industrial Park, the authorities noted the evolution of several major projects, including a 13.4 MW solar power plant and the construction of two new large industrial buildings financed by the Inter-American Development Bank.

The mission also evaluated environmental projects, including the restoration of Caracol mangroves and the rehabilitation of Phaéton Lake, supported by the International Fund for Agricultural Development.

According to the Ministry, these initiatives contribute to both economic development and environmental sustainability in the region, while strengthening coordination with international partners.
