Haiti: electoral preparations, a national training launched by the authorities

 

On Thursday, May 14, 2026, the Haitian government launched a national training programme on electoral litigation and security for judicial authorities and public forces, as part of the electoral preparations announced for this year. The ceremony took place in the presence of Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, under the coordination of the Ministry of Justice and Public Safety.

According to the authorities, this first phase concerns in particular the commissioners of the government, the judges of the peace, as well as members of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd The municipalities of Port-au-Prince, Petit-Goâve and Croix-des-Bouquets are among the first areas concerned before a gradual extension to the whole territory. The government also mentioned an envelope of more than three billion gourdes to finance political parties and groupings.
