Port-au-Prince, 24 June 2025.- Three soldiers of the Armed Forces of Haiti recently deserted, carrying with them a complete arsenal, including assault rifles, pistols, ammunition and protective equipment. The High Military Command has sought the collaboration of the National Police in launching search notices against these men now on the run.
A new incident shakes the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAD) while Three soldiers deserted with a large stock of weapons and military equipment. According to internal MSDSs, the individuals identified are Charles Jean Vitel, Zéphirin Victorinov Alexander and Jeudy Robaldo.
Actively wanted, these soldiers left their positions in possession of two T4-AEL rifles, bearing number 860447 and 856871, as well as six 5.56 mm loaders, two 9 mm pistols, including one Taurus brand (serial number AGC-101746), three additional loaders, one bulletproof vest and one steel helmet.
The situation was formally reported in a correspondence dated 15 June 2025, addressed by Lieutenant-General Derby Guerrier, Commander a.i. Chief of the FAD In this note, the senior official formally asks the PNH to take the necessary steps to issue search notices against these deserters.
This case raises serious concerns in an already tense national context, where the uncontrolled flow of weapons constitutes a major problem for public security. The authorities call for citizen collaboration to find these armed soldiers and avoid any risk of violent drift.
