The President pro tempore of the CPT Fritz Alphonse Jean and the representative of the agreement of Montana Jacques Ted Saint-Dic
Port-au-prince, 23 June 2025. In an exclusive interview with journalists, at the Villa d'Accommodation, on Friday 20 June, the President Pro Tempore Fritz Alphonse Jean of the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) denounced his colleagues, revealing internal tensions within the CPT. But barely his criticisms made public, he is in turn accused of unilateral abuses.
In a joint note, three CPT members — Smith Augustin, Louis Gérard Gilles and Emmanuel Vertillaire — have, in turn, denounced decisions taken by Fritz Alphonse Jean in violation of established rules, in particular the decree of 27 May 2024 which imposes a quorum of five out of seven members for any major decision.
Guest on the show Panel Magik on Radio Magik9, this Monday, June 23, Jacques Ted Saint-Dic, representative of the Montana Accord, called the accusations of Fritz Alphonse Jean « political manoeuvre » to gain public opinion. According to him, the conflict put forward would only be a facade concealing a power struggle: « It's a competition to know who will take control of the state apparatus », he decided.
Ted Saint-Dic also considered that Fritz Alphonse Jean's attacks on some ministers aim to clear customs and reposition themselves, in the event of failure of the transition process.
In this tense climate, the management of Fritz Jean at the head of the CPT is increasingly criticized. The Council of Ministers, scheduled this Monday, did not take place. Scheduled at 11 a.m. and then postponed to 3 p.m., it was reportedly cancelled after the hasty departure of several ministers from Villa d
