As part of the ongoing fight against drug trafficking in the metropolitan area, the officers of the Bureau de Lutte contre le Trafic de Stupéfiants (BLTS) conducted a targeted operation in Pétion-Ville on Wednesday, 27 May 2026. This intervention, which took place more precisely in the neighborhood commonly known as « Ghetto Jamaica », is part of the enhanced security system deployed by this specialized unit of the National Police of Haiti (PNH).
The operation resulted in the significant seizure of nine (9) kilograms of marijuana and the arrest of two individuals. The security forces identified the suspects under the names Maxi DELIA and Piterson NAUZEARD. According to information provided by the Directorate of Communication of the Police (DIKOP), the two men were placed in police custody pending the necessary judicial action.
The seized drug was immediately sealed for the legal procedure. Through this new round of netting, the BLTS strongly reaffirms its determination to continue dismantling all drug trafficking networks operating throughout the national territory, thus strengthening the motto of the police institution for the safety of the population.
