Massacre to "Kay Jack", mayor denounces lack of consolidation after police operations

The Mayor of Kenscoff, Massillon Jean

Kenscoff, 3 December 2025.- On the night of 30 November to 1 December, Kay Jack, located in the area of New Tourraine in Kenscoff and connecting the commune to the south-east, was the scene of a massacre. Several people were murdered, others reported missing, and about ten houses burned down, according to Mayor Massillon Jean. It warns about the lack of consolidation after police operations, allowing gangs to resume their activities.

The mayor of Kenscoff, speaking on Magik 9 this Wednesday, December 3, confirmed the violent attack. Several inhabitants were killed, others were not found, and about ten houses were destroyed by the flames. This area, which is strategic for the movement of people and goods between Kenscoff and the South East, remains particularly vulnerable.

Police operations without lasting effects

A few days earlier, a two-day operation led by the National Police of Haiti (PNH) had resulted in the resumption of several gang-controlled areas, including Bellot, where several criminals had been killed in exchanges of fire. But according to the mayor, these advances lack follow-up: « Every time the HNP recovers a gang-controlled area in Kenscoff, there is no consolidation. Criminals come back, and it's the people who pay for it. », he lamented.

A call to the central state

In the absence of a sustainable presence of the police, the inhabitants are exposed to a spiral of violence. The mayor called on the central state to strengthen the stabilization of the areas recovered in order to protect the population and prevent further drama.
