Luckson Philemond officially took office, this Thursday, February 26, 2026, as general coordinator of the National School Canteens Program (NPCS), by decision of the Minister of National Education and Vocational Training, Antoine Augustin. This appointment is intended to strengthen the governance and effectiveness of the program.
Established in 1997, the PNCS provides a daily meal for students in public schools, supports vulnerable families and integrates local producers into its supply chain.
Replacing Mr. Kevenot Dorvil, the new manager intends to implement management based on measurable targets by 2030. It focuses on the culture of results, administrative rigour, transparency and staff development. It announces increased control of food distribution in the ten departments and the priority given to local products.
Luckson Philemond says he wants to drive the PNCS with discipline and integrity in order to sustainably improve its impact on nutrition and school attendance.
