North West, February 28, 2026.- The Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP), on instructions from Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, proceeded on Saturday, February 28, to the official delivery of letters of appointment to nurses of the North West Health Directorate. This approach is part of a national strategy to strengthen health governance and promote greater territorial equity in access to care.
Organized in Port-au-Prince, the ceremony marks a new stage in the administrative deployment of the MSPP in the province. Through these appointments, the state intends to stabilize human resources, formalize responsibilities and ensure better organization of health services in the Northwest Department.
After the departments of the South, North, West and Central Plateau, this initiative reflects the willingness of the authorities to extend the reform to the whole territory. The Government thus affirms its determination to equip each departmental health department with qualified personnel who are formally entrusted with their task.
Under the leadership of Minister of Public Health Sinal Bertrand, the MSPP is pursuing a reform focused on improving the quality of care, modernizing health management and institutional strengthening. The North-West Department welcomes a step forward deemed essential to better meet the needs of the population.
