Port-au-Prince, July 21, 2025.- In an exclusive interview with Radio Magik 9, on 21 July, Éne Val, during his first official release as the new spokesperson for the Primature, presented a review of the Prime Minister's recent initiatives, Mr. Alix Didier Fils-Aimé. He highlighted his trip to the United States, discussions on security, economic recovery, constitutional referendum and elections, while stressing the enhanced cooperation with the HNP and the progress made in the fight against gangs.

 

Diplomacy and security cooperation

 

According to Éne Val, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé recently conducted a diplomatic mission to Washington, where he met with officials of the American administration. He argued for a redefinition of United States security aid to Haiti. From now on, any assistance to the HNP will have to be coordinated directly between the two governments, including the HNP Director General Rameau Normil.

 

Support for the subcontracting sector

 

The Head of Government also called for the renewal of the HOPE/HELP law, essential to maintaining more than 27,000 jobs in the Haitian textile sector, the country's second largest export source.

 

Security developments

 

At the local level, Éne Val welcomed the collaboration between the Government Task Force and the HNP, which would have led to significant progress in the fight against gangs. « Fear is beginning to change sides »he said, referring to recent operations in the capital and some provincial cities.

 

Relations with the HNP and prospects

 

The spokesman said that the relations between the Prime Minister and the DG of the PNH are « very cordial »This increases the effectiveness of the actions undertaken.
