Pétion-Ville, November 20, 2025. – The Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT) has strengthened national relief capacity through specialized training in partnership with the Canadian Peace and Security Officer Training Association (CPSOTA) at the Karibe Convention Center.

This training, carried out jointly by MICT and CPSOTA, ended on 14 November 2025 at a ceremony to deliver emergency vehicles and specialized equipment. The batch of equipment, valued at more than US$3,125,000, includes 13 fully equipped fire trucks, 10 ambulances, as well as a full container of specialized equipment designed to strengthen response units across the country.

For a period of 15 days, the training brought together agents of the National Ambulance Centre (CAN), the Directorate General of Civil Protection (DGPC), the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and firefighters from several municipalities.

According to the Director General of MICT, Pierre Canisius Guignard, this initiative strengthens the capacity of relief services to intervene in strategic municipalities such as Pétion-Ville, Delmas, Port-au-Prince, Tabarre and Carrefour. It stresses that this training is part of the Government's approach to modernizing emergency services and increasing the technical capacity of local civil protection structures.
