Port-au-Prince, June 12, 2026.- The Ministry of Interior and Territorial Communities (MITT) proceeded, on Thursday, June 11, to the official installation of Mr. Jephté Leroy as Coordinator of the Audit Unit and Internal Control Systems (AUSCI), a new structure intended to strengthen the governance and control mechanisms within the institution.
The ceremony, presided over by Minister Paul Antoine Bien-Aimé at the Ministry's headquarters in Delmas 60, was attended by Pierre Canisius Guignard, Jean Claude Telasco, and several technical executives and staff. In his speech, the Minister indicated that the creation of this unit meets a requirement of public administration modernization reforms and aims to improve transparency, accountability and institutional performance.
The incumbent of MICT recalled that the new coordinator would be responsible for overseeing internal audit activities, administrative and financial control, risk management, fraud prevention and monitoring of budget implementation. Jephté Leroy, for his part, thanked the authorities for the trust placed in him and advocated for close collaboration between AUSCI and the various branches of the ministry in order to ensure more efficient management in line with administrative standards.
This facility marks the operational launch of the Audit Unit and internal control systems, a structure that authorities present as a lever for strengthening governance and improving management practices within the MICT.
