Cap-Haitien, 6 December 2025.- The Minister of Trade and Industry, James Monazard, inaugurated on Thursday 4 December the 11th edition of the Entrepreneurship Forum in Cap-Haïtien, alongside several members of the government and financial sector actors. Placed under the theme « SMEs as pillars of economic recovery », the event, organized in partnership with CEDEL Haiti, aims to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem in a context of national revival.

At the Versailles complex, in the heart of Cap-Haitien, the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MCI) launched this 11th edition of the Forum. Surrounded by its government partners, notably the Minister of Economy and Finance Alfred Métellus Fils, the Minister of Tourism John Herrick Dessources, the Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) Ronald Gabriel, as well as the CEO of CEDEL Haiti Rock André, Minister James Monazard reaffirmed the State's will to place small and medium-sized enterprises at the heart of economic recovery.

Organised on 4 and 5 December 2025 in the north of the country, this forum highlights the strategic role of SMEs, which are essential to job creation, innovation and territorial dynamism. For the government, the event is part of a continuity approach aimed at proposing alternative solutions to local entrepreneurs, in a context of economic crisis.

The meeting brought together entrepreneurs from the Far North and several financial institutions, confirming the importance of this framework of exchanges to stimulate business opportunities, encourage investment and strengthen public-private partnerships. The renewed partnership between the Haitian State and CEDEL Haiti thus illustrates a common desire to make entrepreneurship a key driver of stability and economic growth.
