Port-au-Prince, 25 June 2025.- At the initiative of the Growth Group, a training session, dedicated to economic journalists, will begin on 26 June 2025, at the Lafayette Complex, in Delmas 71, starting at 9 am.
Focused on the budget cycle and the Rapid Assessment of the Impact of the Security Crisis in Haiti (RCIA), this training aims to strengthen the skills of journalists, provide them with analytical tools and ensure objective media coverage of economic and budgetary issues. In a context where economic information is essential for public debate, this session is positioned as a springboard for better control of budgetary issues.
Another major focus of this training will be the provision of appropriate tools to enable journalists to analyse and disseminate information contained in key documents, such as the RCIA. By facilitating the understanding of these complex documents, GroupGrowth also wants to enable the media to play a fundamental role in disseminating accurate and understandable information to the general public.
Finally, the event aims to encourage objective and educational media coverage of economic and budgetary issues. By providing journalists with the skills they need to deal with these issues in an accessible manner, GroupGrowth hopes to contribute to an informed public debate on the economic challenges facing the country.
GroupGrowth intends to host a representative of each media during this session and considers this initiative as an important step towards a better communication on economic issues in Haiti.
In a time when the security crisis has a profound impact on the country's economic landscape, formations like this are more than necessary. They enable information professionals to be better equipped to inform the public in a clear and rigorous manner.
