Tabarre, 27 December 2025.- The National Police of Haiti (PNH) officially received, this Saturday, December 27, in Tabarre, a batch of 25 armoured personnel carriers, intended to enhance the mobility, protection and operational efficiency of its units engaged in high-risk areas. This strategic acquisition is part of the ongoing support of the U.S. government through the Bureau of International Affairs on Narcotics and Enforcement (INL).
The Haitian National Police is taking a new step in strengthening its operational capabilities. On Saturday, 27 December 2025, the police institution officially took possession of 25 armoured personnel carriers, strategic equipment to support response units facing complex security contexts.
The reception ceremony took place at the headquarters of the National Harbour Authority (AFN), in the presence of the Commander in Chief of the PNH, André Jonas Vladimir Paraison, who has personally moved to mark the importance of this endowment. These armoured vehicles will significantly improve the mobility of law enforcement personnel while ensuring better protection of personnel during operations in high-risk areas.
On this occasion, the Commander-in-Chief of the HNP expressed his gratitude to the Government of the United States for its continued support to the National Police, which was made possible through the support of the Office of International Affairs for the Narcotics and Enforcement of the Act (INL). This international cooperation is aimed at strengthening the institutional capacity of the HNP and improving the security response to current challenges.
With the integration of these new tanks, the HNP intends to increase its operational effectiveness and strengthen its presence on the ground, in a context where security remains a national priority.
