Port-au-prince, 20 June 2025. As part of its enhanced support for security in Haiti, France delivered this week four tons of equipment to the National Police of Haiti (PNH). Ce donation, intended for specialized intervention and law enforcement units, is accompanied by a strategic training session provided by experts from the Research, Assistance, Intervention and Dissuasion Unit (RAID). It is part of a comprehensive policy of cooperation aimed at sustainable strengthening the operational capacities of Haitian forces.
Franco-Haitian cooperation in the security field is taking on another important step. This week, the French Republic delivered to the National Police of Haiti (PNH) a batch of four tons of equipment and equipment. This donation is intended to strengthen the capacity of specialized law enforcement and intervention units, which are at the forefront of the fight against armed gangs in the country.
In addition to this material assistance, France has also mobilized experts from RAID, the elite unit of the French national police. They conducted intensive training for approximately forty (40) officers from the specialized units of the PNH. The course includes an operational command dimension designed to strengthen the strategic skills of the cadres of these forces.
This initiative is part of France's overall policy of supporting the rise of Haitian security forces. It aims to accompany the Haitian State in its efforts to restore control throughout its territory, in a context of deep security crisis.
