Barbados, 29 August 2025.- Despite a difficult security and socio-economic situation, Haiti marks its presence at the 15th edition of the Caribbean Arts Festival (Carifesta XV), which takes place from August 22 to 31, 2025 in Barbados. Between high-level artistic performances and a wealth of artisanal exhibitions, the Haitian delegation reaffirms the vitality and resilience of the national cultural heritage.
The evening « Country Night 2 » August 30th is one of the highlights of this participation. The artists of 21 Nanchon, in collaboration with Nègès Fla Vodou, will offer a show combining traditional dance, theatre and spirituality, while the musicians of Nanm Vodou A will offer a sound immersion rooted in the Haitian soul.
Within the artisanal village, Haitian stands attract attention with various works: sculptures, paintings, embroidery, jewellery and original creations, reflection of the imagination, know-how and national creativity.
By combining cultural heritage and contemporary expression, the Haitian delegation imposes itself as a major actor of this 15th edition, faithful to the theme: « Caribbean roots, global excellence ».
