Port-au-Prince, 16 March 2026.- Initiative « Enterprise Online », organized as part of a competence research programme, will be held on Wednesday 18 March 2026 at Quisqueya University. The event, led by Innoved-UniQ and the Western Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIO), aims to narrow the gap between the skills taught at university and the real needs of businesses. Several business leaders, including Brana and Culligan, will exchange directly with students.
In an interview with Magik 9 on Monday, CCIO President Martine Cuvilly and the Director of the Innovative-UniQ, Anouk Ewald explained that this initiative seeks to create a direct dialogue between the academic world and the private sector. The aim is to enable students to better understand the skills sought in the labour market and to facilitate their integration into the labour market.
According to the organizers, there is often a gap between the training received by students and the profiles sought by companies. The event therefore aims to create an exchange platform where companies can present their needs and meet directly with young people in training or recently graduated.
Several representatives from the private sector will participate in the discussions, including Gaëtan Barraud de Culligan and officials from Brana and other institutions. Human resources managers and recruitment specialists will also present the skills sought and opportunities available.
Through this initiative, the organizers want to encourage better collaboration between universities and companies in order to prepare young people for the reality of the labour market and promote the employability of graduates in Haiti.
