Port-au-Prince, February 25, 2926.- In the absence of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Patrick Pélissier, met this Wednesday, February 25, with the officials of the National Police and local authorities to coordinate concrete measures to strengthen security and consolidate stability throughout the country.

Discussions helped to plan for more effective deployment of patrols, opening of forward posts, and strengthening internal control of officers. Prevention and enforcement operations will be intensified throughout the country, relying on reliable information to protect lives and property while respecting the law.

The Government also insists on citizen participation. The inhabitants are called upon to collaborate through alerts in case of danger or suspicious behaviour, thus creating a partnership with law enforcement to build a climate of trust, security and national unity.

This initiative demonstrates the determination of the State to eradicate great banditry and ensure the stability necessary for free and transparent elections. Unity between authorities and people is presented as the key to ensuring a secure and promising future for Haiti.
