Port-au-Prince, 10 December 2025.- On Monday, 8 December, the Office d'Insurance Accidents du Travail, Sickness and Maternity (OFATMA), in partnership with the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour (MAST), signed a Memorandum of Understanding to clear the arrears owed to health-care providers, which took care of public officials and officials. This strategic approach strengthens interinstitutional cooperation, strengthens the viability of the provider network and ensures continuity and the quality of services for all insured persons.
The ceremony, held on the premises of the MEF, reflects the willingness of the two ministries to strengthen their inter-institutional cooperation and to strengthen the sustainability of the network of care providers. This protocol is specifically designed to clear debts to claimants, having taken over public servants and public servants covered by the health insurance scheme, thereby strengthening confidence between OFATMA and its partners.
In undertaking this approach, OFATMA stresses the strategic importance of the protocol and reaffirms its commitment to managing its resources in a rigorous and transparent manner, while fully respecting its obligations to health care providers and ensuring the quality of services for all insured persons on an ongoing basis.
This Memorandum of Understanding represents a crucial step for OFATMA and its partners, ensuring the resolution of arrears and ensuring the continuity and quality of services for all public service insured persons.
