43 deaths in internal clashes within « Viv Ansanm »

Bel-Air, 10 December 2025.- At least 43 people, including the Dedè gang leader, were killed in clashes between factions of the criminal organization « Viv Ansanm » in Bel-Air on the night of 8 to 9 December 2025. According to Fritznel Pierre of the Konbit for peace and development, the violence was the result of an internal conflict against Kempès Sanon, the former head of the area, who was wounded and then forced to flee.

Invited to Panel Magik on Wednesday 10 December, Fritznel Pierre believes that these clashes do not weaken the criminal organisation « Viv Ansanm ». According to him, the attack on Kempès Sanon results from an internal consensus and not from a breakup within the coalition.
He pointed out that the movement was aimed at treating the group's image, even if he considered this attempt doomed to failure in view of the serious harm inflicted on the civilian population.

The raid by the gang leader Chalè and his troops, along with other influential coalition members, triggered a real massacre against the men of Kempes.
Fritznel Pierre reports that 43 people were killed, including the Dedè gang leader. Some 20 wounded bandits, accompanied by their concubines, were reportedly intercepted in a medical clinic before being executed.

According to information provided by Fritznel Pierre, Kempès Sanon was shot and wounded during the first exchanges and took refuge in Delmas 2 with several of his soldiers. Subsequently, Viv Ansanm decided to disarm his group entirely. The organization would finally have decided: send Kempès to Croix-des-Bouquets, « Lanmò san jou ».

According to Fritznel Pierre, this violence is linked to internal discontent caused by abductions attributed to bandits operating under Kempes' orders. The chief controlling Bel-Air reportedly refused to obey the orders received, triggering the intervention of the other factions of Viv Ansanm.
