Taipei, September 10, 2025.- Ambassador Roudy Stanley Penn presented his credentials to Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te on Tuesday, September 9, in Taipei, formalizing his entry into office and opening a new phase in diplomatic relations between Haiti and Taiwan.
Haitian diplomacy has reached a new stage with the official presentation of the credentials of Ambassador Roudy Stanley Penn, who is returning to Taiwan. The ceremony, held at the Presidential Palace in Taipei, marked the strengthening of Haiti's representation with its Taiwanese partner.
This accreditation comes on the eve of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Haiti and Taiwan, established in 1956. For both countries, the event is an opportunity to consolidate their historic partnership and prepare new cooperation initiatives in the political, economic and technical fields.
President Lai welcomed Haiti's commitment to maintaining strong relations, while stressing the importance of Haitian support on the international scene.
For his part, diplomat Penn reaffirmed the Haitian government's determination to strengthen bilateral friendship and to breathe new momentum into the exchanges between the two countries.
With Ambassador Roudy Stanley Penn taking office, the Haitian and Taiwanese authorities reaffirm their common commitment to maintaining constructive dialogue and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation.
