Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA, congratulated the Haitian selection for its historic qualification at the 2026 World Cup, obtained on November 18. Fifty-two years after his last participation in 1974, Haiti returns to the world stage.
Infantino welcomed a performance « spectacular and fully deserved », recalling the country's passion for football. According to him, the presence of the Grenadiers will enrich an edition announced as « the largest and most spectacular in history »organized in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
He also highlighted the impact of this return for the Concacaf and made an appointment to the Grenadiers and their supporters on December 5 in Washington, D.C., during the draw of the tournament.
This qualification marks a major moment for Haitian football, symbol of determination and progress despite obstacles. The country can now approach the World 2026 with renewed pride.
