On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) announced the re-establishment of four focal points within its administration. These structures, which have been suspended since last February, resume their activities in order to ensure better coordination between the various departments of the Ministry and to facilitate the processing of administrative and educational files.
The four poles concerned — Education and Quality, System Management Support Services, Departmental Directorates, and Administration and Human Resources — Several entities of the MENFP as well as the ten Departmental Directorates of Education. Their missions include learning monitoring, planning, coordination of decentralized services and human resources management.
This decision follows the reintroduction of a scheme introduced in 2014 and suspended in February 2026. The restoration of these structures will enable them to assess their effective functioning and their capacity to strengthen the coordination and effectiveness of the governance of the Haitian education system.
