Port-au-Prince, December 15, 2025. The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MCI) officially launched, on Monday 15 December, at the Karibe Convention Center, the Digitalized Professional Identity Card (CIP). Chaired by Prime Minister Alix Didier Son Aimé and several members of the government, this major reform aims to modernize public administration, strengthen state control and secure professional data at the national level.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MCI) has reached a decisive stage in the modernization of public action by implementing the digitalised Professional Identity Card (CIP). This initiative is part of the national strategy for digitizing public services and digitizing the Ministry's internal governance throughout the country.
The launch ceremony, held at the Karibe Convention Center, brought together the Prime Minister, His Excellency Alix Didier Fils Aimé, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alfred Métellus Fils, the Minister of Trade and Industry, James Monazard, and the Director General of MCI, Panel Paulémont. The authorities welcomed a structural reform aimed at improving administrative efficiency and the quality of services provided to professionals.
The digitalised CIP aims to facilitate the registration and identification of economic actors, while strengthening control mechanisms and data security. It will also allow for better traceability, shorter processing times and greater transparency in State-private relations.
For Minister James Monazard, this project reflects a clear political will to build a modern, efficient and responsive administration for citizens and businesses. By building trust between the state and professionals, the MCI lays the foundations for a more formal, secure and competitive economic environment.
